The software will enable businesses to offer employees their choice of mobile devices across multiple operating systems, while delivering highly secure access to corporate applications. Businesses will be able to protect sensitive data on mobile devices and meet compliance regulations.
Ixia, global provider of converged IP network test solutions, announced the availability of an end-to-end femtocell test solution that fully validates the entire femtocell ecosystem, including access points and gateways. Ixia’s test will asses all network aspects and femtocell devices both individually and as part of an end-to-end system.

Gemalto announced its selection by Softbank Mobile for the latest mobile contactless payment trial in Japan. Softbank currently has 21 million subscribers in Japan and the program will be the first in Asia to enable secure mobile near field communication (NFC) transactions from a choice of different credit card accounts. The pilot is expected to roll out in the first quarter of 2011.
NEC Corp. announced the addition of the iPASOLINK 400 to its iPASOLINK Series. iPASOLINK is the converged flexible platform designed to meet the capacity, topology and intelligence requirements for the transformation of both fixed and mobile backhaul networks to the next generation, including 4G LTE. It will enable operators to swap in and out different backhaul technologies such as microwave or packet transport as per their requirements.
Qualcomm Inc. announced the commercial availability of the CSA Safety Performance Service. The service will help identify drivers who are most vulnerable to unsafe driving and additional CSA violations, allowing fleet and safety managers to monitor and improve driver performance. This will reduce their exposure to fines, interventions, accidents and poor CSA scores.
