HTC posts record $1.56B in sales for June

Following rumors that implied HTC Corp.’s June sales would be down or flat, the Taiwanese smartphone maker has released record monthly sales a few days earlier than planned.
Consolidated sales in June were up 87.8% from the same period a year ago. While the company’s year-over-year growth rates have been on a downward trend since the beginning of the year, it’s posting record sales. The company generated $1.56 billion in June.
Annual growth is slowing, but sales are up 10.9% from the previous month. Since year-over-year sales were up more than 213% in January, that rate of growth has incrementally slowed with each passing month. The biggest drop occurred a few months back when year-over-year growth fell from 212% in February to 124% in March. The latest figures mark the first time year-over-growth has dipped below triple digits this year.
While annual growth rates continue to decline, HTC hopes its latest sales figures will relieve some pressure on company stock, which dropped 19% in less than a month.
