NEW ORLEANS-America Online Inc. announced deals with two U.S. wireless carriers.
Cingular Wireless L.L.C. said it is working with AOL to give Cingular Wireless customers easy access to AOL’s new mobile portal, Instant Pictures and mobile You’ve Got Pictures services.
The Instant Pictures feature for the AIM service gives AIM users the ability to send pictures from their desktops to mobile phones as an extension of AOL’s mobile instant-messaging service. The service will work with most multimedia Cingular handsets and will also let those who receive mobile picture messages respond with their own photos.
In addition, U.S. Cellular and Comverse, launched an advanced version of the mobile AOL Instant Messenger service developed specifically for U.S. Cellular subscribers.
