- Pacific Growth Equities upgraded Applied Micro Circuits from equal weight to over weight on recent changes in management. The company recently named Kambiz Hooshmand as president and chief executive officer, and Pacific Growth analysts said they expect the company to name a chief financial officer soon.
- Smith Barney Citigroup upgraded its rating on Research in Motion Ltd. from hold to buy on news the company resolved patent litigation between it and NTP Inc.
