CHICAGO-SBC Communications Inc. reported that its FreedomLink Wi-Fi service is now available throughout the Merchandise Mart in Chicago, creating the largest SBC hot spot in the city. The network includes 26 access points covering first- and second-floor common areas and meeting rooms of 350 W. Mart Center, as well as several floors of the Merchandise Mart.
Merchandise Mart visitors that are also SBC DSL customers can access the network for $2 per month with a one-year contract, while non-SBC DSL customers can purchase a day pass for $8 or monthly membership for $20.
