CAMBRIDGE, United Kingdom-Test-and-measurement company UbiNetics launched a tool designed to allow carriers to evaluate interactions between third-generation phones and networks.
SystemAT automates testing of any commercial mobile phone or group of mobile phones against a test network, allowing carriers to test the phone’s stability and performance in a variety of situations. Channel conditions between phones and the network are simulated using programmable radio-frequency attenuators and each phone is individually screened from extraneous RF signals.
The company said the product builds on UbiNetics’ LG200 Load Generator product and is compatible with any mobile phone and technology.
