Virtual disco to boogie onto 3G phones in April

HONG KONG-Artificial Life Inc. said it plans to release a virtual disco for third-generation phones in April.

The product will appear as a three-dimensional animated virtual building with several floors that each have different music styles. Users can select a 3D character, or avatar, to use as their virtual persona and visit different music rooms in the virtual disco, said the company.

Music can be downloaded or streamed in combination with the 3D animation clips showing synchronized dancing avatars, said Artificial Life.

The product will support MP3 and AAC music formats and MP4 and 3GPP video formats.
