RESTON, Va.-iDirect Technologies, which makes satellite-based broadband access solutions, said it plans to integrate Pronto Networks’ operations support system into its product offering.
The agreement makes iDirect a preferred reseller of Pronto’s solutions to the VSAT industry, said the company. The OSS software handles provisioning, configuration, authentication, access control, security, prepaid and postpaid billing and roaming settlement for large public wireless area networks.
“With the addition of the Pronto software, service providers utilizing the iDirect solution will be able to easily provision and manage remote networks that deliver broadband connectivity comparable to the quality and performance of digital terrestrial circuits such as DSL or cable,” said John Kealey, president and chief executive officer of iDirect Technologies.
