SAN FRANCISCO-Intel Corp. said it has signed a deal with AT&T Corp to research and develop high-speed wireless broadband, Internet telephone technology and converged voice and data devices for enterprises.
This chimes in with the chip bellwether’s new model of reaching telecom equipment vendors through the operators. Intel is working with other carriers as well, including Korea Telecom.
“We’re working with other carriers on similar deals inside and outside the U.S. at different levels,” Intel spokesman Mark Miller was quoted as saying.
