SAN DIEGO-CDMA technology pioneer Qualcomm Inc. boasted of its success in sales of CDMA chipsets, announcing that more than 30 handsets are being built using its MSM6150 and MSM6550 chipsets, and another 40 handsets are available or in design using the company’s MSM6000 and MSM6025 chipsets.
Qualcomm’s advanced MSM6150 and MSM6550 chipsets support video calling and three-dimensional gaming, among other advanced functions, and are designed for CDMA 1x and EV-DO networks. The company’s MSM6000 and MSM6025 chipsets are designed for mid-range phones and are used by the likes of Compal, Curitel, Huawei, Hisense, Konka, Kyocera Wireless, LGE, Motorola, Ningbo Bird, SK Teletech, TCL, Telson and ZTE.
