LONDON-The Starmap Mobile Alliance, an alliance of 11 European wireless carriers, said it is rolling out a new multi-country corporate service for customers across Europe.
Aimed at multinational customers, the service initially will be made available in seven countries-Austria, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Spain, Switzerland and the United Kingdom-in December. Customers of the service will enjoy simplified contracts and one set of terms and conditions through dealing with a lead Starmap Mobile Alliance representative, Starmap member MmO2 said.
In addition, a secure, PC-based call management information system will allow customers to track and analyze their costs for voice and data applications and display them in the European language of choice. The program will also give multinational clients additional discounts on top of standard local tariffs if they buy services across four or more countries in which participating alliance members operate.
“Six months after introducing common voice mail and short codes across the group, we are now introducing a new multinational proposition,” said Rudi Groger, chief executive officer of O2 Germany and company lead for Starmap Mobile Alliance.
