A dual-band smart phone from Taiwanese manufacturer High Tech Computer Corp. (HTC) has been granted approval from the Federal Communications Commission, according to FCC documents.
The CDMA 800/1900 phone, code-named Vivida, was reportedly designed for use by Verizon Wireless. The device will run a Microsoft Windows Mobile operating system.
The phone features a sliding form factor, a built-in camera and Bluetooth capabilities, according to the user manual posted on the FCC’s Web site. Photos on the site also show the phone with a Qualcomm Inc. chipset and Sony Corp. battery.
