The following list includes venture capital and other investments into wireless companies announced during the past week. The value of the investment is included when available.
–Adomo: Menlo Ventures and Storm Ventures led a $15 million round of financing into Adomo Inc., which provides enterprise unified messaging solutions. The company said it will use the funds to expand product development, marketing and sales efforts.
–Alloptic: Arcapita Ventures and Ritchie Capital Management led a $24 million round of funding into optical networking equipment company Alloptical Inc. The company said it will use the funds to advance its MicroNode product in the RF over Glass space and to protect its patent portfolio.
–Amobee: Telefonica and Vodafone both made strategic minority investments of an undisclosed amount in Amobee Media Systems, which specializes in advertising solutions for mobile operators. The companies joins existing investors Sequoia Capital, Accel Partners, Globespan and Vodafone.
–Linktone: Lunar Capital Management and CDC Corp. disclosed that they have presented a formal proposal for an investment in, and a restructuring of, Linktone Ltd. The investors propose to purchase common or convertible shares of the company and would seek to appoint up to three directors to the company’s board. The investors said the proposal seeks to reposition Linktone in China’s wireless and media markets.
