Group seeks feedback on public-safety requirements at 700 MHz

The National Public Safety Telecommunications Council is seeking feedback by Friday to aid the development of the 700 MHz public-safety broadband statement of requirements.
The Public Safety Spectrum Trust tasked the job to the broadband working group of the NPSTC Technology Committee. The trust, which likely will be working with the winner of the 10-megahertz commercial-first responder national license up for bid in early January, wants to have a statement of requirements in hand by Nov. 7. By that date, prospective bidders eying the 700 MHz auction, which is set to begin Jan. 24, will be provided with public-safety requirements.
The 700 MHz broadband statement of requirements is available for review at www.npstc.org. Also provided is a form to submit comments to the NPSTC Broadband Working Group at [email protected] before 5 pm PDT on Nov. 2.
