“You can’t just build a device without understanding what that customer really wants,” says Cathy Quaciari, director of B2B devices for AT&T Mobility. Quaciari’s role is to help business users-be it an individual or an IT manager overseeing 1,000 workers-shop for wireless devices.
Indeed, Quaciari covers a lot of ground.
“The devices that are really booming right now are that messaging space,” she said, explaining that AT&T is selling BlackBerrys and Windows Mobile phones like hotcakes.
In an exclusive interview with RCR Wireless News, Quaciari discusses AT&T’s sales strategy, how the company courts both individuals and businesses, and how it manages the sale and promotion of its gadgets.
