SAN JOSE, Calif.-The former founders of @Road have announced the first product to emerge from their new business venture, GenX Mobile Inc.
The GNX-10 location-based in-vehicle unit provides wireless data communication via GPRS, CDMA and 802.11 networks. The platform also uses RS-232 and Ethernet ports for laptop and personal digital assistant connectivity, and features global positioning system for location management.
The solution will be available in the fourth quarter, along with a GNX-5 product for mobile security applications. GenX Mobile also said it plans to launch iDEN and Bluetooth products next year.
