T-Mobile USA Inc. reported a deal to provide its Wi-Fi-based HotSpot service in the lobby, public areas and select rooms of most of the 122 Hyatt hotels and resorts across the country by the end of this year. T-Mobile USA noted the first deployment as part of the agreement has already begun at the Hyatt in Charlotte, N.C., with locations in New York; Chicago; Columbus, Ohio; and Chesapeake Bay, Md.; scheduled for the next several weeks.
“With T-Mobile, we offer our guests a premium brand of wireless service in which they can have confidence,” said Tom O’Toole, senior vice president of strategy and systems for Hyatt. “This furthers Hyatt’s position as a premium, global brand and industry leader.”
T-Mobile USA said its HotSpot service is currently available in more than 4,600 locations across the country, with analysts expecting the carrier to cover more than 5,600 locations by the end of the year.
