NEWARK, N.J.-Net2Phone and Navini Networks announced they will partner to deliver Net2Phone’s VoiceLine voice-over-IP broadband services over Navini’s wireless metropolitan area network (WMAN) wireless broadband infrastructure.
“Wireless metropolitan area networks are clearly the next frontier for Net2Phone, as we extend our reach beyond the wired world,” said Bryan Wiener, president of global services at Net2Phone. “Navini’s technological leadership in the space and superior support for QoS will allow Net2Phone to continue its leadership position in providing high-quality VoIP solutions to telecom and high-speed data providers across the globe.”
Net2Phone also recently announced its VoIP platform for routing calls will be used by IDT Corp. to deploy commercial Wi-Fi phone service in the United States, initially in the Ironbound section of Newark, N.J.
