STOCKHOLM, Sweden-Third-generation carrier 3 in Sweden announced it will offer third-dimensional multiplayer games through a new deal with Synergenix Interactive AB. The carrier’s users will be able to download Synergenix’s Mophun gaming platform and Mophun 3D games to Symbian-based devices. Synergenix’s Rally Pro game will feature multiplayer technology from Terraplay Systems.
“The combination of Mophun 3D games and multiplayer is a real differentiator, which shows the full potential in our fast network and advanced mobiles,” said Rikard Ljungman, commercial manager for games at 3.
The deal is notable for Synergenix as the company recently lost Sony Ericsson as one of its major customers. Sony Ericsson previously installed the Mophun gaming platform in its handsets, but now uses the Java platform.
