BEDMINSTER, N.J.-Verizon Wireless and mobile-gaming companies Blue Lava Wireless and Atlas Mobile Inc. announced the availability of Tetris Tournament for Prizes to Verizon customers using Verizon’s Get It Now virtual store.
Through the service, mobile gamers can compete against each other in daily and weekly tournaments to win prizes, including CDs, DVDs, movie tickets and gift cards. The game costs $4 per month.
“The combination of Tetris’ popularity and Atlas Mobile’s new twist of multiplayer tournaments where players can win prizes is a breakthrough for mobile game players,” said Henk Rogers, president of Blue Lava. “We’re thrilled to be able to offer this unusual type of gaming experience to Verizon Wireless’ Get It Now customers.”
