TCS renews E911 deal with Verizon Wireless

TeleCommunications Systems Inc. has extended a pact to provide hosted E911 Mobile Positioning Center (MPC) services to Verizon Wireless.
The Annapolis, Md.-based mobile data technology firm announced a new, five-year contract with the nation’s second-largest wireless carrier. The news follows the announcement earlier this week that TCS was named a participant in a $750 million U.S. government satellite program.
“TCS has worked very hard to be the only TL 9000-certified facility providing wireless or VoIP E911 location services in the world,” said TCS CEO Maurice Tose. “We are pleased to continue our longstanding relationship with Verizon Wireless to provide E911 services.”
