AirTight Networks Inc. announced it secured an additional $14.5 million in its latest round of venture capital funding, bringing the business’ total VC investment to $36.7 million.
The third round of financing was led by CMEA Ventures with all previous investors also participating, according to AirTight. As part of the financing, Rob McIntyre, a partner at CMEA, will join AirTight’s Board of Directors.
“AirTight is a great match with CMEA Ventures’ investment philosophy-to invest in proven teams with superior technology,” McIntyre said.
The wireless intrusion prevention solutions provider was founded in 2002.
“All companies need to supplement wired security and WLAN infrastructure with a full time wireless intrusion protection system to detect, classify, protect and locate wireless vulnerabilities,” said AirTight Chairman and CEO David King.
AirTight said it plans to use its investments to continue “inventing, developing, marketing and supporting” its suite of SpectraGuard products.
