Mobile television provider MobiTV today inked a deal with Yahoo Inc. for mobile advertising.
Under the agreement, Yahoo will act as the ad network for MobiTV’s mobile video ad sales, placing advertisements against mobile content, including video, banner and text ads.
The market for mobile advertising in the United States last year reached $421 million and should grow to $4.8 billion in 2011, according to market research firm eMarketer.
Yahoo will deliver ads across both MobiTV’s live and premium programming, starting later this year.
