Modeo cancels CTIA press conference, promises news next month

Modeo L.L.C. has officially canceled its press conference scheduled for Tuesday afternoon at the CTIA Wireless 2007 show in Orlando, Fla. The broadcast mobile TV provider was expected to announced results from its beta trial currently underway in New York City, and discuss more implications from the recent Federal Communications Commission waiver allowing it to increase the transmission power of its towers.
“Our official results from our New York beta will be in a little bit later this month, a little bit closer to NAB (the National Association of Broadcasters convention in Las Vegas next month),” said Modeo spokeswoman Laura Pennino. “We’ll have more information about that and then we may also have a more concrete idea of implications of the FCC waiver in a week or so.”
Modeo is a Crown Castle International Corp. affiliate building a DVB-H mobile TV network.
