SAN JOSE, Calif.-Cranite Systems Inc. has partnered with Hewlett Packard to offer secure networking solutions to government and healthcare organizations.
Under their agreement, Cranite’s WirelessWall security software will be used in two of HP’s government contracts. The companies also plan to jointly market and sell secure mobility solutions, with WirelessWall included on HP’s mobile products, including its notebook PCs, Tablet PCs and iPAQ Pocket PCs.
“Security is an all-or-nothing proposition. It makes no sense to bar the windows when you keep the front door unlocked,” said Greg McNulty, Cranite’s chief executive officer. “Cranite’s software gives users a complete wireless LAN security solution and provides a quick and simple way to add government-certified security to HP’s PDAs and tablet and notebook PCs.”
