GOLDEN, Colo.-RCR Wireless News is pleased to announce it has hired Matt Kapko as a reporter. Kapko is stationed out of Crain Communications Inc.’s Los Angeles offices and will tackle the increasingly busy intersection of the wireless industry and Hollywood.
Kapko has worked as a reporter and editor since 2001, working at several newspapers and a newswire service in the San Francisco Bay Area. Kapko most recently served as news editor at FireRescue1.com, covering the fire service industry, including public-safety issues.
“A self-professed gadget geek, Matt’s solid newspaper skills will form a strong base for his coverage of the burgeoning mobile entertainment space,” said Tracy Ford, RCR Wireless News associate publisher and editor. “Matt’s location in the heart of the entertainment industry should bolster RCR Wireless News’ already stellar coverage of a rapidly changing and growing market.”
Kapko holds a Bachelor of Arts degree, double majoring in journalism and history from Humbolt State University.
