CAMBRIDGE, Mass.-Motorola Inc. topped a list of most trusted handset brands compiled by Forrester Research Inc. The manufacturer, most known for its wildly successful Razr handset line, posted a B in brand trust, A- in brand potential and B in brand adoption with a total overall score of A-.
Motorola beat out Samsung Electronics Co. Ltd. and Nokia Corp., both of which garnered final grades of B-. Samsung received a D- in brand trust, A- in brand potential and B in brand adoption, while Nokia picked up a C in brand trust, B+ in brand potential and B in brand adoption.
Palm Inc. and LG Electronics Co. Ltd. rounded out the list
The list was based on surveys of 4,732 U.S. consumers in September and October of 2005.
