DiVitas catches $15M in quest toward convergence

MOUNTAIN VIEW, Calif.—Cellular and Wi-Fi convergence technology developer, DiVitas Networks, announced it raked in $15 million during a second round of funding, bringing the company’s total funding to $23 million.

Menlo Ventures led the round, joined by existing investor Clearstone Venture Partners. In addition, DiVitas said John Jarve, managing director of Menlo Ventures, joined DiVitas’ board of directors.

The company said it plans to use the funds to bolster is sales, marketing, customer support and engineering teams.

“We’ve invested in DiVitas because of its unique enterprise-centric approach that allows enterprises to gain control of mobility,” stated Jarve.

Vive Huller, chief executive officer of DiVitas noted, “As a lead investor in Spectra Link and Ascend Communications, John brings to the DiVitas board a deep understanding of wireless and communication technologies.”

DiVitas develops technologies for businesses to provide voice and data roaming between disparate networks. The company said its solutions work in network environments such as cellular, Wi-Fi, Internet/IP WAN and wireline.
