NEW YORK—UrbanWorld Wireless added several high-profile performers to its stable of content with a new distribution agreement with entertainment management company Czar Entertainment.
Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
The mobile content provider said it plans to offer personalized ringtones, wallpapers and video content as well as mobile games featuring stars from Czar’s roster, which includes hip-hop artists The Game and too Short as well as singers Mario Winans and Sharissa. The companies will partner on a five-city “ringtone release” promotional tour later this year, and Czar plans to integrate UrbanWorld’s marketing platform into its business operations.
“We are committed to staying informed of the new advances in media and technology,” said Czar co-founder Jimmy Rosemond, “and believe this alliance will allow us to achieve our goal.”
