OVERLAND PARK, Kan.—Sprint Nextel Corp. continued to expand its music offerings, launching a series of made-for-mobile studio sessions featuring audio and video from nine artists.
The Sprint Music Series will include three or four songs and an interview with Interscope Records artists from several genres. The series is set to debut Friday and feature the alternative band Dashboard Confessional; other artists include Busta Rhymes, Mobb Deep and Robin Thicke.
The offering will be available free throughout the summer to Sprint Vision subscribers with multimedia phones and data plans. The carrier hopes to spark sales of ringtones, video ringers and full-track downloads.
