OXNARD, Calif.—Wireless equipment and engineering services company CalAmp Corp. said it acquired TechnoCom Corp.’s Mobile Resource Management product line.
CalAmp said the acquisition strengthens its position in the machine-to-machine communications business for enterprise asset tracking and fleet management applications. CalAmp said it will operate the business from its M2M facility in Carlsbad, Calif.
The deal includes a $2.4 million cash payment and future earn-out payments of about $2 million. In addition, CalAmp agreed to license software from TechnoCom for about $200,000 the first year.
