Motorists revved up over Verizon Wireless’ FuelFinder

BEDMINSTER, N.J.—Verizon Wireless said the number of customers who subscribe to its FuelFinder service has doubled in the past six weeks as fuel costs rise across the country.

FuelFinder, from MobileGates, directs customers to the cheapest gas stations. Customers enter their location information to receive fuel pricing information, which is updated every two hours. The service, launched in October, is available to the carrier’s Mobile Web 2.0 customers for $2 per month.
