WAYNESBORO, Va.-Regional telecommunications operator Ntelos Holdings Corp. posted an 18-percent jump in wireless revenues during the first quarter, from $65.6 million in 2005 to $77.6 million this year. The growth was boosted by a 25-percent increase in wholesale revenues that Ntelos said was derived from a strategic network alliance agreement with Sprint Nextel Corp.
The carrier said it added 7,573 customers during the first three months of the year, ending the quarter with 343,879 wireless subscribers on its network.
