BEIJING-Lucent Technologies Inc. said it has entered into an agreement with Top Global to provide wireless service providers with a solution that links third-generation networks with Wi-Fi in the Asia-Pacific, Europe, Middle East and Africa regions.
Top Global will provide its hot spot solution known as 3G MobileBridge while Lucent will bring in its cdma2000 and UMTS networking equipment.
Both companies say the solution will enable “business users and consumers to use their Wi-Fi-enabled devices in truly mobile environments such as trains, buses and other vehicles.”
