TOKYO-NTT DoCoMo Inc. said it will begin marketing a data-card type terminal capable of high-speed packet transmission at 384 kilobits per second. The F2402 makes possible video calling from a PC to a FOMA video phone or an ISDN-connected fixed video phone.
In addition, specific locations can be remotely monitored by placing a Web camera-enabled PC with the F2402 inserted at a specific location for image transmission to a FOMA video phone. The card lets users simultaneously transmit voice and data.
DoCoMo will begin selling the product Sept. 13.
