BELLEVUE, Wash.-Western Wireless Corp. said it intends to sell $600 million worth of senior unsecured notes with maturities in 2010 and 2013 to qualified institutional buyers in an unregistered offering.
The carrier said it will use net proceeds from the offering, together with the net proceeds from a previous subordinated notes offering last month and the proceeds from recent dispositions of certain assets, to prepay $400 million of the principal amount of indebtedness under its credit facility, to repurchase and redeem all of its outstanding 10.5-percent senior subordinated notes due 2006 and 2007 and for working capital and general corporate purposes.
