Verizon launches Spanish Web site

BEDMINSTER, N.J.-Catering to the fastest growing minority group in the United States, Verizon Wireless launched a Spanish-language Web site, which the carrier said offers online access to the carrier’s products and services.

Verizon Wireless said the site, which is located at www.verizonwireless.com/espanol, allows customers to research and purchase wireless phones and calling plans, review calling plan maps, locate stores, view frequently asked questions and receive information on how to contact Spanish-speaking customer service representatives.

“Our goal is for all customers to feel comfortable about doing business with us, so it’s important to make this investment to meet their online needs,” explained Nicholas Montes, director of multicultural marketing at Verizon Wireless.

In addition to the Web site and Spanish-speaking customer service representatives, Verizon Wireless recently launched Blah!’s Spanish-language mobile chat service.
