Silicon Village launches SMS encryption

BIRMINGHAM, U.K.-Developer Silicon Village has launched its Fortress SMS encryption application for sending secure end-to-end short message service messages on Series 60 and Symbian platforms.

The solution encrypts SMS messages upon sending them and decrypts coded SMS messages when they are received. “With an intuitive, easy-to-use interface, users of Fortress SMS will be able to transmit and receive strongly encrypted messages, directly from their phones using the U.S. Government Advanced Encryption Standard (AES) ‘Rijindael’ algorithm,” explained Tony King of Silicon Village.
