RICHARDSON, Texas-Irish Broadband will use Navini Networks Inc.’s Ripwave wireless wide area broadband equipment to provide broadband services to customers in Ireland.
Beginning in June, Irish Broadband plans to deploy Ripwave base stations in communities in the Dublin area. “Ireland is woefully behind many other countries in terms of broadband penetration,” said Paul Doody, managing director of Irish Broadband. “We aim to change that by ‘unwiring’ the local communities, bringing broadband to the rural population throughout the country.”
