TORONTO-Redline Communications Inc. announced its AN-30T, a long-range, non-line-of-sight broadband wireless product with a view to helping wireless carriers reduce their dependence on T1/E1 lines.
“The cost of leased-line circuits represents a significant portion of operational expense dollars for businesses,” said Keith Doucet, Redline’s vice president of marketing. “Redline’s robust AN-30T product provides a cost-effective alternative to landline T1/E1 carrier-leased circuits.”
Wireless carriers have been exploring technologies to pry them loose from wireline carriers in both the backhaul and core networks, using such technologies as free space optics and fiberoptics.
