OTTAWA-SiGe Semiconductor said it has introduced a pair of power amplifiers for IS-95 and cdma2000 1x handsets in the 824 through 849 MHz hand.
“Handset designers can now achieve the required performance at a fraction of the cost of most solutions on the market,” said Jose Harrison, director at Cellular SiGe Semiconductor. “The added benefits of ultra low power consumption and high integration strengthen our position that SiGe-based PAs will displace GaAs across 2G, 2.5G and 3G cellular markets.”
