NEW ORLEANS-CommWorks and Togabi Technologies announced an agreement calling for CommWorks to resell and enhance its packet wireless voice and data products with Togabi’s PacketCHAT real-time wireless communications platform. Terms of the agreement call for CommWorks to provide wireless carriers with push-to-talk and voice instant messaging capabilities for their enterprise and consumer customers.
PacketCHAT, Togabi’s wireless client software component, extends CommWorks’ product reach into a handsets by offering an optimized, standards-based, client/server solution that generates more revenue for a carrier’s packet-based network, said the companies. Togabi’s end-to-end PacketCHAT platform uses technologies developed exclusively to optimize available network bandwidth and maintain a high-quality user experience for real-time Internet Protocol-based voice communications.
