Panama sees first NLOS service

PANAMA CITY-Liberty Technologies said it deployed the first non-line-of-sight (NLOS) wireless broadband networks in Panama under a US$3 million contract with Navini Networks for the equipment. The deployment will cover the entire country beginning with the main metropolitan areas.

Liberty Technologies will offer a broadband data service with always-on connectivity for broadband access. It will first offer the service to residential and small to medium-size customers under the brand name Wisper.
