TOKYO-NEC Mobiling, an NEC Group company, announced it will launch a printing service for photos taken by mobile phones. It will be a mobile-phone version of the once-popular print club.
Users of the new service will be able to immediately print seals with a photo that the user has taken with a mobile phone. The service charges will be 200 yen (US$1.66) per seal, although it might be different by service menu. NEC Mobiling plans to set up the machine for providing the new service at 1,000 outlets around the country by the end of February. It plans to increase the number of outlets with the machine to 10,000 by the end of March 2004.
