Motorola shareholders file lawsuit

HARTFORD, Conn.-A lawsuit has been filed against Motorola Inc. by purchasers of the company’s publicly traded securities between Feb. 3, 2000, and May 14, 2001. Those who acquired shares through the acquisition of C-Port Corp. are also included. The plaintiffs, represented by Schatz & Nobel P.C., allege Motorola issued materially false and misleading statements concerning its financial condition, specifically in regards to the company’s $1.5 billion deal with Turkish cell-phone system operator Telsim.
