GENEVA-STMicroelectronics said it has signed a memorandum of understanding with SpaceBridge Semiconductor to develop a family of broadband wireless modem chips and two-way set top box solutions.
“The jointly-developed technology will allow providers to rapidly deploy high capacity broadband set-top box solutions, enabling broadband services such as Internet, voice, data and streaming video for business, home office and high-end residential users,” said both companies in a press release.
