TOKYO-Japan’s four mobile-phone operators announced plans to conduct a joint study on the possible biological effects of exposure to radio waves from mobile-phone systems.
The four companies-NTT DoCoMo Inc., KDDI Corp., J-Phone Co. Ltd., and Tu-KA Cellular Tokyo Inc.-said they would analyze and evaluate the results of experiments performed independently and jointly. NTT DoCoMo has already conducted preliminary research while further experimentation has been commissioned to Mitsubishi Chemical Safety Institute Ltd.
