GREENSBORO, N.C.-RF Micro Devices Inc. said it has signed a deal to purchase Resonext Communications Inc., which makes integrated CMOS WLAN solutions for 802.11a and multi-band 802.11a/b/g platforms.
“The acquisition would bolster our presence in the 802.11b market and increase our total addressable market to include 802.11a and dual-band offerings, as well as a media access controller,” said Jerry Neal, executive vice president of marketing and strategic development.
