AUSTIN, Texas-Wayport, which provides wireless and wired Internet access in airports and hotels, said it will open two Laptop Lane airport business centers at Oakland International Airport.

The business centers will provide travelers with private workstations with wired high-speed and dial-up Internet connections for notebook computers; desktop computers with high-speed Internet access and business software; phones with unlimited domestic long-distance and conference calling capability; and printers, copiers and fax machines. Travelers can also ship packages and purchase computer accessories and handheld devices at the locations.

In addition, Wayport will install Wi-Fi to cover the business centers and surrounding gate areas. The company also will help the airport with connection data, tracking and reporting unauthorized wireless services.

More than 11 million passengers travel through the airport annually.
