REDMOND, Wash.-Smart antenna solution provider Metawave Communications Corp. announced plans for “major restructuring” of its operations, which include cutting 30 percent of the company’s work force and the appointment of Gary Flood to chief executive officer.
Flood takes over for Bob Hunsberger who will remain Metawave’s chairman of the board and serve as a strategic consultant to the company. The senior management team now includes: Marty Feuerstein, chief technology officer; Richard Henderson, senior vice president of sales; Randy Scheer, vice president of finance; and Andy Merrill, vice president of manufacturing and customer operations.
“We’re making these significant changes in order to improve the company’s long term business potential,” Flood said.
